One of the ways to help our Earth is to compost!
I hope your child has been telling you all about our Worm Compost Bin we now have in our classroom.
The fruits and veggies leftover from our lunches will be great additions as well as anything from home you would like to send. Your child knows what the worms do and don't like to eat.
Our 1000 tiny worms arrived yesterday and they are now happily eating away in our Worm Compost Bin. They will create awesome soil to put in our Kinder-Garden and "worm tea" to water our plants with. We have been reading and reading and learning and learning all about composting and worms!
Today they had the choice to hold one if they wanted before we put them in the bin. I told them to show me how they felt with their facial expressions.
Pretty funny!
I encourage you to ask your child to tell you all they have learned about worms.
They are "Wormologists".
They are VERY important to
our beautiful Earth.
