We have enjoyed learning about leaves these first few days of November! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful fall weather. The leaves on the trees are beautiful! Early last week we painted leaves to hang in our classroom. They are beautiful!
The Kinders have been collecting leaves at recess for our science center and they are getting really good at identifying the different types.
On Friday after reading the story Autumn Walk, we headed out on our own Autumn Walk and collected leaves. We returned to the classroom and preserved our leaves by dipping them in wax. This is a fun project to do at home! We created a few leaf garlands to remember our story and walk. One is in the office if you happen to stop in!
This month we are also learning turkeys, the first Thanksgiving and Families. Thank you to everyone who sent in a family picture.
Your child LOVED showing it off to the class and talking about his/her family. They are now displayed on our board in the classroom for the rest of the month.
We have been singing many poems and songs about fall and turkeys! I hope you are hearing them at home!
Happy November!
