The Very Hungry Caterpillar Feast

What a day!

We had so much fun finishing up our author study of Eric Carle. After our picnic outside in the beautiful weather, we read

The Very Hungry Caterpillar one last time while we ate along with the story.

Thank you to everyone who was able to supply the food for our feast.  Ask your child about it!  It was a wonderful extension of the story.

Now we really know why he had a stomachache!

To end our unit on Eric Carle, we wrote him a letter.  Many Kinders told him their favorite story, asked him questions and gave him many compliments.  Here is an example of how cute they were:

 To Eric Carle,

I love your books.  They make me laugh.

Do you know what my

favorite book is...The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

HaaHaa!
