Art Center

Every Friday the children have the chance to CREATE at our Art Center. 

They are using fabric, paint, stencils, sticks, glue, tape, pipe cleaners, paper, stickers, markers and so much more.    We have been talking a lot about recycled art and using something to make something instead of throwing it away.

 I love to see their creativity at work.  Even though there are many other centers open at this time, most of the children congregate to the Art area. 

We would LOVE to use anything you have at home that you think we could create with or help us to organize our center.

Here are some examples:

-fabric scraps

-ribbon scraps, yarn

-buttons

-lids

-pom poms

-coffee filters

-q-tips

-cotton balls

-paper towel rolls

-flat cardboard they could paint on

-colored paper

-scrap book paper

-clean cottage cheese, sour cream, yogurt containers, mayonnaise containers

-large glass or plastic jars we could store things in.

-feathers

-pipe cleaners

-stickers

-anything else fun you have laying around

So, think before you throw something away.
