1 More Month!

We only have a little over a month left together and we still have A LOT of learning still happening! I love this time of year when they kids are reading and writing independently and have mastered many many math concepts.

WE LOVE TO LEARN!

By the end of November, your child should be able to...

Write his/her first name
Identify letters Mm, Aa, Ss, Pp, Tt, Ii, Nn, Cc
Write numbers to 20+
Count aloud to 20+
Begin to count by 5's and 10's to 100
Count on from numbers 0-10
Begin to count backwards from 20-0
Recognize numbers 0-10+, in random order
Follow a 2-3 step direction.
Identify common word family words (-at, -an, -in, -it)
Begin to identify friends names in classroom
Read/write sight-words:
I, can, we, see, the, a, like, to, and, go
Identify/describe basic shapes
Draw a circle, square, triangle, and rectangle
Begin to write a simple sentences, using sight-words and environmental print.
Identify and produce rhyming words
Break apart words by sounds (cat = /c/-/a/-/t/)
Zip jacket
*Tie shoes
